As a member of our Research & Insights team, you will partner with a cross functional team to create a simple, easy to use, and best-in-class experience for our users across the Dropbox family of products, while identifying new areas of opportunity to create a more enlightened way of working. You’ll have the opportunity to influence product direction and address unmet customer needs in this exciting role.
Responsibilities
- Identify research needs in partnership with product teams
- Understand user needs and uncover product opportunities, strategy and vision in a very ambiguous and future-focused space
- Design, plan, and execute research that impacts product team immediate roadmaps and longer term strategies
- Implement multi-method research studies that incorporate both qual and quant methodologies
- Very comfortable scoping, planning and executing foundational and generative research
- Advocate and guide strategy for design and product direction
- Collaborate closely with research & insights, product management, design, data cience, and marketing to evaluate user experiences - triangulation of data / insights are critical to this role’s success
- Socialize research in innovative and engaging ways
Requirements
- 6+ years of UX-related work experience
- Broad experience with a wide variety of research methods applied across the product development process
- Comfortable with quant methods, specifically surveys, data analysis, benchmarking etc.
- Comfortable with research and planning related to pricing and packaging
- Passionate and well-versed in generative and foundational research approaches
- Demonstrated skills for collaborating closely with other researchers, designers, product managers and engineers
- Clear, compelling presentation and communication style
- Experience driving and supporting rapid research in a scrappy environment
Total Rewards
For candidates hired in Colorado, the expected salary/On-Target Earnings (OTE) range for the role is $113,600 - $133,600 - $153,600.
This salary/OTE range represents the low, middle, and high end of the salary or OTE (Sales roles) range for this position, and is subject to change. To determine a Dropboxer’s starting pay we carefully consider a variety of factors, including primary work location and an evaluation of a candidate’s skills, experience, market demands, and internal parity. This position may be considered a promotional opportunity.
alary/OTE is just one component of Dropbox’s total rewards package. All regular employees are also eligible for the corporate bonus program or a sales incentive (target included in OTE) as well as stock in the form of Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).
