Our Product Design and UX Writing team has grown a lot over the past year, and we’re ready and excited to bring on our first hire to lead Design Operations. As the first in the role, you would be on the design leadership team partnering closely with design managers, ICs, and recruiting to help ensure our team has healthy and well-run programs and processes for great design.  

We’re looking for someone who loves bringing order to scrappy start-up environments, who can balance rigor with flexibility, and who wants to help build and shape a world-class design team. We like to take risks, and we need a partner who will push us to rethink our current processes and help us discover creative new ways of working.  

This job requires handling all design ops related strategy, communications & feedback.

The work includes, but is not limited to, owning:

  • Onboarding process 
  • Quality initiatives
  • Hiring process & job descriptions
  • Process, design principles & philosophy
  • Tools management, in partnership with IT
  • Design culture initiatives
  • Career growth & education initiatives
  • Budgeting & procurement Communication programs  (Monthly Meetings/Status Reports etc..)

Requirements Include:

  • 5+ years experience in program management and/or design operations
  • 5+ years experience working at a design agency or within a design organization
  • Experience with stakeholder management, cross-functional partnerships with organizational leaders 
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-starter with a bias for action
This is a full-time role that can be held from one of our U.S. hubs, or remotely in the continental United States or Canada.
