About the Team

The Design and Research Operations team plays a pivotal role, discovering high-impact programs and initiatives that help the Design org deliver high impact and revolutionary products. 

The Design and Research Operations Team’s mission is to build scalable solutions to enable and inspire our Design community to work effectively and produce impactful and high quality results. We are seeking an experienced Design Program Manager to help us build strategic programs and initiatives around vendor management and onboarding, sourcing budget and allocation, and being the key person to refine and establish processes in this area.  

The person in this role will partner with many cross-functional teams including security, legal, finance and sourcing to help navigate complex issues and build ambiguous solutions. 

This role reports to the Head of Design and Research Operations in our Design Organization. 

You’re excited about this opportunity because you will…

  • Work closely with leadership to build our finance budget and help allocate to different teams and initiatives appropriate to the business
  • Track and manage budget and allocation while working closely with the finance teams as well as Design leaders
  • Be a leader and owner in the vendor management and onboarding space and establish process that will streamline different operational steps and ensure vendor quality
  • Conduct a gap analysis to understand current and future needs that will drive strategic and high visibility programs, and implement improvements to drive program quality and efficiency 
  • Own vendor tooling and professional services communications and trainings 
  • Be the subject matter expert in identifying best and leading industry vendors 
  • Have the opportunity to partner with many internal teams and individuals across the company to help execute your projects
  • Identify and secure resources and notify teams and individuals of risks as they arise, while providing actionable recommendations and solutions
  • Strive to remove roadblocks and be they key person to connect teams and individuals with the appropriate resources they need to get the job done
  • Own internal documentation of  processes and procedures related to the business and communicate any changes to documentation in the appropriate communication channels 

We’re excited about you because…

  • You have at least 7 years of professional experience working in Design or Research operations space
  • You are a leader, need very little direction and someone who likes to bring in new and fresh perspectives and can thrive in ambiguity
  • You have experience working with cross-functional teams and able to communicate and drive high visibility efforts, building consensus and leading teams to solutions
  • You’ve created and managed budgets across the organization and multiple teams
  • You have experience with onboarding and managing vendors while owning communication and training efforts to ensure team satisfaction and adoption
  • You are organized, excellent communicator, and a detail-oriented individual who is ready to tackle complex and challenging projects
