About the Opportunity
Our mission is to help the next billion people experience the future of finance. We’re looking for a Design Operations Manager to help drive the future of our products, set strategies, and develop a culture of design-driven user experience. We have offices in San Francisco, Miami, Malta, Hong Kong, Singapore and Japan, and while this role is listed in Singapore, we are remote-first and believe in you working wherever you work best.
As a Design Ops Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of design projects, identifying and mitigating risks to the project, handling dependencies, and tracking all issues impacting deliverables and schedules. This person will partner with the Design Manager to drive many concurrent design projects from ideation to delivery. They will guide each project through the design process and ensure forward momentum by tracking and reporting project status, seeking closure to open questions, identifying next steps and risks, and facilitating design reviews. They will serve as the liaison between Design and cross-functional teams.
What You’ll Achieve
  • Set up and optimize the design team’s framework and cross-functional workflows so the team can focus on solving design problems effectively with minimal churn
  • Drive complex programs to help the Design team scale - which include prioritization and planning, resource management, program tracking, and budget management
  • Establish engagement models and cross-functional collaboration channels with key design partners and stakeholders, balancing multiple priorities and needs
  • Successfully collaborate with design leaders, designers, product managers, data scientists, researchers, and engineers across cultures and timezones
  • Advocate for design by ensuring the design team has time and space to apply sound design practices in the product development lifecycle
What We Look For In You
  • 6+ years of applicable program management experience
  • 2+ years specifically functioning in the capacity of design program management
  • Demonstrated delivery of large-scale programs and projects, preferably experience with multiple successful product launches that drove meaningful impact to the business
  • Understanding of complex workflows designed to scale across diverse, global teams
  • Passion for experience and design with an understanding of the creative and design workflow
  • Strong conflict resolution and negotiation skills and the ability to manage in an environment of ambiguity with a diverse range of partners
  • The communication skills to clearly articulate your concepts and evangelize on their behalf
  • Fluent in Mandarin
  • Experience working with global teams across offices and timezones
Nice to Haves
  • Experience designing programs for Fintech, Investment platforms, or Crypto products
  • Experience working in fast, iterative startup culture
  • Ability to travel internationally about 10% of the time
