Design Manager - Partner & job at Spotify

We are looking for an experienced design lead to join our Platform & Partner Experience team who are tasked with considering how to extend our core mobile experience across multiple contexts and device ecosystems, including native desktop, tablets, web player, automobiles, wearables, televisions, speakers, software integrations, and much more. We are specifically looking for an experienced design manager to lead across our big screen experiences including TV, game consoles and screened smart devices.

What You'll Do

Be accountable for the design across Spotify’s big screen experiences within the In Home Experience Product Area. The objective of this area is to enable and encourage Spotify users and creators to engage with Spotify content across devices within the home.
Manage, support and nurture a happy, thriving design team.
Grow the craft in your team and actively contribute to the Spotify design culture.
Work in close conjunction with the design product area lead, to shape the design strategy across big screen experiences and partnerships.
Collaborate closely with your product, insights and tech counterparts to enable the team to shape solutions that delight our users.
Help set the tone for our partnerships (Google, Apple etc.) and advocate for quality when it comes to the Spotify experience as it is represented on external platforms.

Who You Are

Practical management experience with designers in agile product development environments; you can show examples where you have fostered and grown the culture in cross-functional teams.
Experience shipping successful consumer products, leading and contributing to design system thinking, strategy and design execution.
Experience working and managing stakeholders, connecting the dots between the wider strategic goals and the short-term goals of the team.
Ideally practical experience of working with external partnerships.
Able to provide and present a portfolio of work that represents who you are as a designer and leader. Applications without a portfolio are unlikely to be considered.
