Design Manager - Growth job at Spotify

The Freemium R&D team oversees the entire user journey on Spotify and ensures we engage with people in innovative ways, every step of the way. In this role you will lead, run, and grow a diverse and inclusive team of Product Designers, setting focus, strategy, and priorities to help individuals grow in their careers and improve influence and impact.

What you'll do

You will lead design, through best-practices, attention to detail, and sometimes unconventional thinking, to ensure impact
You will provide context, support and guidance as the team works toward our growth objectives — you will inspire, not merely direct
Enable collaboration and cross-functional alignment.
Develop your team in design discovery and experimentation to uncover the biggest and best opportunities for us to research, prototype, and test.
Set the complete design vision and actively guide your team through all phases of design and development, from conceptualization to engineering execution and post-launch success tracking and iteration.

Who you are

Extensive experience leading product design teams at consumer-focused companies
You are passionate about design and what it can do for the music, content, and technology industries
A trusted and recognized leader, consistently demonstrating credibility in cross-functional interactions.
You are a leader with practical design chops. You’ve shipped many products over the years, and understand what it takes to build exciting, consumer-oriented experiences.
You’re a fantastic communicator. You have the communication skills to help you work effectively with cross-functional peers and stakeholders. You thrive when developing great people and great products
You have a broad product design background and are well-versed in data-informed product design and development
You have experience working with growth initiatives in some capacity
You want to make an impact and take on big complex issues

Where in the world? For this role, it can be within the Americas region in which we have a work location and is within working hours.
Working hours? We operate within the Eastern Standard time zone for collaboration and ask that all be located in that time zone.
