About The Role:

After the redesign in 2019, the Rippling Brand has become a huge asset and differentiator for the company. And our team has earned the respect of stakeholders at every level. That comes with creative autonomy as well as pressure! That’s where you come in.

We’re looking for a Brand Design Manager* to work hand-in-hand with the VP of Brand to maintain and apply the brand identity across every channel and touchpoint. You’ll lead  a team of top-notch designers (both FT and freelance) as well as agencies.

*Title equivalents for this role in the agency world would be Design Director, Creative Director, Art Director, or ACD.

What You'll Do: 

  • Work alongside the VP of Brand to refine and enrich the existing brand system while making sure it’s used consistently across the company
  • Lead by example, balancing people management with hands-on design work
  • Own the rippling.com site in its entirety, from product marketing pages to the blog
  • Collaborate with writers and other team members on creative concepts and storytelling
  • Provide art direction to illustrators, animators, iconographers, photographers, videographers, etc.
  • Work with the Product Design team to influence how the brand translates into product, including UI patterns and in-product branded moments
  • Source and oversee contractors and agency partners as needed

Qualifications:

  • Strong business acumen and experience brand-building for SaaS
  • Willingness to roll up your sleeves and lend a hand on anything and everything
  • A motivational spirit and energy, continuously inspiring people to do their best work
  • Ability to balance speed and quality while pushing creative boundaries to advance the brand
  • Proficiency in Adobe CS, Figma, Asana, Google Workspace, Slack
  • Experience working with engineers and leading QA processes with project manager support
