Job Description

Joining the Dailymotion Data Product Craft team means joining a diverse and dynamic team of more than 20 passionate data analysts and data scientists, to help us grow and build the evolution of Dailymotion’s products.

As a data product analyst, you will be at the core of Dailymotion’s data transformation strategy. You will be part of a cross-verticals team of other analysts responsible to support the product, business, and engineering teams with insights & data assets. You will collaborate closely with product managers, business teams, developers, machine learning & data engineers

Key responsibilities:

  • Your main goal will be to empower data users & foster data-driven decisions by building, harmonizing and evangelizing data products across all teams. You’ll be involved into different data product initiatives & analyses with the aim of building mid/long-term assets, helping our decision makers better understand users experience on our platforms, player performances, monetization…
  • Explore: Understand our stakeholders needs & main pain points and leverage data to identify opportunities to improve business, optimize our products and create data assets. For that purpose, develop a deep understanding of our products & ecosystem, as well as a deep knowledge of the data lifecycle.
  • Empower: Evangelize on the use of data in the company, train colleagues on analytics tools, build automated dashboards and assets to enable stakeholders to be as autonomous as possible with data.
  • Measure: Analyze the impact of product releases on business metrics, as well as their impacts on products performances.
  • Collaborate: Contribute to an iterative process of product improvement, collaborating seamlessly with cross-functional teams (engineers, developers, data scientists & analysts, product & business)
  • Communicate: Share findings through clear visualizations, engaging presentations and straight to the point recommendations.

Examples of data assets: internal analytics platform, new data pipeline, AB test analysis framework, forecast model, AI internal data assistant (text to data insights…)

Our stack

  • Data Lake in Google Big Query: writing complex SQL queries is a daily practice (+ using R and Python for specific needs)
  • Tableau and Looker Studio for data visualizations and dashboards
  • Internal A/B testing tool (Python based

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of quantitative or statistical analysis experience
  • Strong interest for digital product strategy
  • Understanding of the main concepts of data modelling, databases, and data management practices
  • Ability to manipulate very large data sets, and analyze them
  • Strong level in SQL and data visualization tools (Tableau, Looker, Looker Studio)
  • Experience with Kibana, Python, R is a plus
  • Passion for the use of data in a technical environment
  • Proactivity and creativity with data
  • Responsible and able to work with different projects in parallel in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills, able to foster relationships with peers and both technical and non-technical functions
  • Values diversity and work well in a multi-cultural environment
  • Fluent English (written and oral)
