Contract: Technical Writer for Upwork Help Center

This is an engagement through Upwork’s Hybrid Workforce Solutions (HWS) Team. Our Hybrid Workforce Solutions Team is a global group of professionals that support Upwork’s business. Our HWS team members are located all over the world

Work/Project Scope: 

• Create and update content for our Help center and other customer-facing resources, including content for our customer support team to use to reply to customer inquiries. 
• Create clear, concise copy and interject our supportive brand voice.

Must-Have Requirements:  

• Solid grammar in American English (native speaker preferred)
• You have the desire to dig deep into a topic and fully understand it so you can explain it simply, in detail, to others
• You write clearly so those who have learned English as a Second language are able to easily understand
• Take feedback about your writing and make adjustments, as needed
• You can commit to using brand voice as a guide to all communications
• You have a proven track record of juggling multiple projects at the same time without sacrificing the quality of your work
• You are comfortable working on multiple initiatives at once and adapting as priorities shift.
• Proven track record of working with cross-functional partners and internal stakeholders to make sure content is accurate and represents our brand.

Nice to Have:  

• Knowledge of Voice of the Customer (VOC) programs and writing newsletters/reports as part of these programs.
• Familiarity with adding content to Zendesk.
