We’re looking for someone who thinks like a marketer and acts like a journalist to bring GitHub’s content to life in creative ways for more than 90 million developers.
This role isn’t about just sharing a message, but actively connecting developers and IT leaders with everything that’s happening in technology, software development, and within GitHub. This role requires the ability to think high-level and long-term but also creating content that tells interesting and engaging stories, and drives the desired results. Knowledge of the software development industry is preferred.
This person will join the Content Marketing team, working cross-functionally with teams like Brand, Integrated Demand, Digital, Product Marketing, Design, and Developer Relations. The best candidates will be great writers, curious individuals, empathetic, and know how to ask the right questions. An understanding of and first-hand experience with developers’ challenges is a bonus.
The team’s work is highly visible, so candidates should be comfortable working with executives and senior leadership. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, high levels of compassion for colleagues and the developer community, and eagle-eyed editing skills are absolutely required—as is the ability to work on several projects simultaneously.
Bonus: Knowledge of the software development industry and experience writing for the developer community as well as IT decision makers
(Colorado only*) Minimum salary of $58,800 to maximum $124,800 + bonus + equity + benefits.
· Note: Disclosure as required by sb19-085 (8-5-20) of the minimum salary compensation for this role when being hired in Colorado.
Location: In this role, you can work remotely from anywhere in the United States or onsite in one of GitHub’s U.S. offices (San Francisco, Bellevue, Raleigh).
