Content Writer - Crypto/Defi (North America)

About the role:

As a Content Writer, you’ll be the mind, voice, and owner of translating industry trends and company perspectives into strategic and helpful content. You’ll get to decide what we write, how we write it, and nurture the communities who follow it. This role provides the unique avenue to partner with the different business functions across the organization to identify new or unique content opportunities and the chance to design, execute, and amplify across our social and professional networks. You'll see what works, what doesn't, and learn something new every day.

Our company is geographically distributed, offering the opportunity to collaborate with co-workers across the world. This is a remote position (work from home) that can be based anywhere in the Central or Eastern Time Zone in North America.

What you’ll do in this role:

• Develop and implement a content strategy and editorial calendar to support inbound lead generation.
• Work independently and as part of the team to brainstorm ideas, track, and measure success for new content formats across the Marketing, Sales, and Product team.
• Design a framework in which content ideas are gathered, prioritized, researched, written, reviewed, published, and tracked for both proactive and reactive content opportunities making every minute count.
• Write educational, product-oriented, or industry-focused content (blog posts, newsletters, case studies, landing pages, etc.) that result in engagement and marketing-specific metrics (conversion rates, customer acquisition, and leads across multiple markets, etc.)
• Publish and promote content through social media, while evaluating the opportunity to expand to additional channels such as email, and other digital marketing channels.
• Define goals & KPIs for all content initiatives, then track and report on the performance.
• Create on-brand, engaging graphics and social images using a SaaS (eg: Canva) or collaborate with freelancers
• Stay current on news, discussions, and trends within the DeFi and FinTech sector.

What we’re looking for:

• Full-time role (must be legal to work in your country of residence)
• 3-5 years of experience in B2B marketing, content creation, or journalism
• A track record of attracting, educating, and inspiring target audiences with thoughtful content
• Having managed a community on social media channels (preferably Twitter & LinkedIn)
• Have the ability to pick up new subjects quickly and when in doubt, have the skills and experience to find the answers you are looking for yourself.
• Have strong relationship building capabilities and the ability to work cross-functionally
• Ownership mentality, entrepreneurial spirit, and a strong bias to action
• Proactive, positive, “let’s figure this out” attitude
• An interest or understanding of the crypto-economy, blockchain, and/or DeFi

Nice-to-have:

• A portfolio of content writing or marketing work
• Familiarity with SEO best practices and requirements
• Experience in FinTech, financial services or DeFi
