Working at Atlassian

Atlassian can hire people in any country where we have a legal entity. Assuming you have eligible working rights and a sufficient time zone overlap with your team, you can choose to work remotely or return to an office as they reopen (unless it’s necessary for your role to be performed in the office). Interviews and onboarding are conducted virtually, a part of being a distributed-first company.

As we expand our Atlassian footprint in India in mid-2022, we are able to recruit eligible candidates for this role who are located in Karnataka, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Delhi NCR and Maharashtra. If this sparks your interest, apply today and chat with our friendly Recruitment team.

Jira Service Management is on a mission to become the service management tool for all teams. We are looking for a Content Designer to join our talented design squad that is working to help our customers self-serve and access the support and information they need.

At Atlassian we consider content to be a powerful and essential part of the customers' journey. In this role, you’ll identify customer needs, and author effective in-product copy and support content to create carefully crafted, end-to-end content experiences that support our customers as they use and master our tools.

We need someone who takes ownership of the experience, generates compelling solution ideas, and communicates the value of features in a clear and compelling way. If that sounds like you, then join us and help drive the content experience for one of Atlassian's fastest-growing ‘visionary’ products*.

To be successful here, we encourage you to have:

  • 4+ years of hands-on professional experience as a content designer, UX writer, or similar with a track record of working in and managing documentation and UI copy projects in an agile, fast-paced environment
  • Great UX writing skills, the aptitude to deeply understand the technical aspects of a product and translate that to a general audience. An eye for detail and the ability to get to the root of a problem with a customer-centric lens
  • Solid communication and cross-functional collaboration skills, with demonstrated ability to work across multiple teams, solicit and synthesize feedback, communicate content design decisions and facilitate content design discussions
  • An appreciation for research and a proven understanding of the techniques required to develop customer empathy and validate concepts
  • The ability to measure project success, test your assumptions and outcomes, and continuously incorporate feedback
  • A growth mindset and desire to learn, grow and form a strong team – we support each other, try new things, and create safe spaces for discussion

In this role you will:

  • Make a substantial impact at scale. We have more than 1M users worldwide, and large and small teams depend on JSM to do their work. As a content designer, you will be involved in everything from identifying customer needs, creating a content strategy to authoring effective support content. Your work will have incredible customer impact
  • Tackle interesting, complex problems. Working closely with your UX design, engineering, and product partners, you'll have a large amount of ownership and autonomy across the entire content design process. Rather than just delivering product documentation, you'll have the opportunity to define the end-to-end experience of an exciting and critical area of our business
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with some of the smartest (and nicest) people in the industry. Day-to-day you'll work on a fast-moving, multidisciplinary product team, collaborating closely with Engineers, Product Managers, UX Designers, Marketing Experts, and Analysts to champion the user experience in our products and ship high-quality work
  • Be a true champion for our users. We take content design seriously, and in line with one of our core values, ("Don't F the Customer") are on a mission to become an experience-led company. We want to make our customers love how easily our products and support documentation help them
Our perks & benefits

To support you at work and play, our perks and benefits include ample time off, an annual education budget, paid volunteer days, and so much more.
