THE CHALLENGE

Eventbrite’s mission is to empower people through live experiences. Our goal is to make it effortless for anyone to create, manage, and attend events. To achieve this goal, we’re adding a new Content Designer to our team, who will help shape the user experience through clear, consistent, and helpful content across all platforms and channels. 

THE TEAM

You’ll be part of a growing content design team within the larger product org, working closely with UX designers, product managers, researchers, engineers, localization, customer success, and self-service writers.

YOU WILL

  • Be an advocate for our users, and work to provide the best possible experience for them with every interaction 
  • Partner with product designers and managers to define requirements, develop a content strategy, and shape user-focused experiences for the Boost event marketing tool
  • Plan, write, test, and edit in-product content that matches our tone, voice, and style guidelines
  • Collaborate with the self-service experience writers to balance in-product and help center content
  • Play an active role in evolving our style guide to incorporate and establish industry best practices
  • Communicate proactively with stakeholders to gather feedback and ensure cross-team alignment 
  • Be willing to call out mitsakes and find solutions 
  • Be an ambassador for the value of content and content-driven design
  • Keep educating yourself, and stay informed about emerging research around readability, usability, best practices, and beyond

THE SKILLSET

  • 2+ years of experience as a UX writer, content designer, or copywriter
  • Impeccable written communication skills
  • Experience collaborating across teams
  • Willingness to ask “why” … obsessively
  • Strong portfolio with case studies showcasing your process and experience
  • Proficient in information architecture, localization, and content strategy
  • Strategic mindset; ability to balance the day-to-day with the big picture 
  • Naturally curious and goal-oriented; unwilling to settle for the status quo
  • A strong sense of craftsmanship and attention to detail
  • A master in being concise and correctFamiliarity with design tools like Figma
  • Excellent storytelling skills 
  • Comfortable presenting and communicating your work
  • Self-aware teammate with high emotional intelligence
  • Ability to clearly set and juggle priorities to focus on the most important issues
  • Intrinsically motivated and committed to growth
