About the Team

The UX content design team helps Product teams build products that people can easily use and understand. We help drive clearer information architecture, usability, and the overall quality of our products by owning aspects like voice and tone and messaging.

About the Role

As a UX Content Design manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Product Leadership – You'll partner with peers in Product Management, Engineering, Operations, Research, Product Design, and more to define a unified vision and roadmap for UX content strategy support within your domain.
  • Team Mentorship – You'll coach direct reports on your team, be a key part of building our content design community, providing both project feedback and career guidance, creating opportunities for your team members to succeed.
  • Hiring – You'll partner with our recruiting team to find, attract, interview, and hire new content designers to join our talented team.
  • Operations - You'll define how the team works to increase efficiency and quality content design execution.

You will report to the Head of Content Design within our Design organization. Once our offices reopen, you will work in a hybrid model with some time in-office and some time remote in one of our design hubs.

  • Help to shape UX content processes across teams
  • Identify opportunities to create consistent and cohesive language across all our marketplaces 
  • Align content with Product partners, including UX Research, Product Design, Product Management, Analytics and Data Science
  • Develop our existing talent and hire new team members as we grow the Content team
  • Improve the craft of our products so that we are delivering an user experience that is intuitive, integrated and impactful to people using the products and our business

We're excited about you because… 

  • You have 6+ years of UX content strategy or Content Design experience, and have managed direct reports in the past
  • You have experience hiring, developing, and retaining top talent
  • You excel at building cross-functional relationships, and you've advocated for UX content's role in driving product success
  • You excel in ambiguous problem spaces, and enjoy creating foundations for UX content strategy
  • You have a strong product instinct, and can work across teams to improve content design craft
