Asana is looking for a Content Design Lead to join the Clarity Pillar. As part of Clarity, you will lead across multiple teams working on core Asana surfaces including navigation, search, tasks, projects, reporting, and goals. You will empower our customers to use insights about their work to make better decisions, and enable them to connect work to their company’s goals and mission. This role can be based in New York or San Francisco.

This is a role for a seasoned Individual Contributor, who will contribute to both high-level strategy and leadership, alongside hands-on product writing. As part of the extended Clarity leadership team, you will have the opportunity to pave the way for innovation for content design and pillar level strategy, in not only what we make but also how we make it. 

What you’ll achieve

  • Own the end-to-end experience of content in an award-winning product (read stories on the Asana Design Blog)
  • Plan, write and evolve content experiences for some of our most strategic product initiatives
  • Embed on a single product team for the duration of a project, and partner on delivering clear, empathetic, engaging content experiences that are customer-focused and align to strategic business objectives
  • Partner with director-level Designers, Product Managers, User Researchers, Product Marketers, Data Scientists, and Engineers to contribute to strategy and leadership for your pillar
  • Collaborate closely with our brand copywriters and foster a culture of writing at Asana
  • Contribute to evolving our voice and tone guidelines and content standards, and helping evangelize our content design practice across the company 
  • Generate multiple ideas quickly, partner closely with our research team, and connect regularly with customers to validate directions
  • Experience career growth and personal development with world-class mentorship and development programs



About you

  • 8+ years of UX writing experience at a product-driven company with a global user base
  • Expertise in information architecture and creating content that aligns with customer’s mental models
  • Partners closely with UXR to conduct quantitative experiments and qualitative user studies to create the most effective content for our customers
  • Promotes content design in the broader community of design and content professionals
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, writing, and storytelling skills
  • Creative problem-solver who can lead large content efforts coupled with the capability to juggle and prioritize many projects simultaneously
  • Solid understanding of user experience design principles and interaction patterns
  • Enjoys mentoring team members, and leading by example to help others adopt best practices
  • Approaches problems with curiosity, and excitement to learn and grow your skills
  • Ability to achieve consistency by following, maintaining, and evolving content guidelines
