We are looking for a Content Design Lead for our Product Design in the heart of buzzing Berlin!

As the Content Design Lead, you’ll manage a team of content designers and will contribute to strategic product design initiatives in Babbel’s product organization. You’ll guide a team of content designers to ensure Babbel’s user interface content helps Babbel learners succeed. Working across the entire product organization, you will uphold content design best practices and contribute to organization-wide strategic initiatives.

You will:

• Directly manage and upskill a team of four content designers
• Oversee the creation and management of Babbel’s user interface content to ensure it is consistent, concise, accessible, and inclusive
• Grow content design as a discipline within the organization and educate stakeholders on the value of content design in the product development process
• Work with product design leads on organization-wide topics such as information architecture, process improvement, design systems, and implementation of a new brand identity
• Further incorporate user insights and data into the work of the content design team
• Streamline the product localization process in collaboration with the product localization team, product managers, and engineers
• Oversee creation of additional content such as transactional emails or help center articles when needed

You have:

• At least five years of content design/UX writing experience
• Experience mentoring content designers (extra consideration will be given to candidates with people management experience) and helping other manage competing priorities in a complex, fast-paced environment
• A strong track record of working with members of leadership to influence priorities and strategic direction and ability to own and independently manage large, cross-team initiatives
• Demonstrated experience working with product designers, product managers, user researchers, and engineers
• Experience utilizing qualitative and quantitative insights to inform product content decisions
• Product localization experience is a plus
