Atlassian can hire people in any country where we have a legal entity, assuming candidates have eligible working rights and a sufficient timezone overlap with their team. As our offices re-open, Atlassians can choose to work remotely or return to an office, unless it’s necessary for the role to be performed in the office. Interviews and onboarding are conducted virtually, a part of being a distributed-first company.
The Atlassian marketing organization operates differently. We use two key strategies to power our growth: the self-service flywheel and a unique approach to high-touch sales.
The self-service flywheel means that we make it frictionless to buy and use our products, creating momentum that keeps our business growing. No long forms. No sales calls. No complex procurement processes. Simply create an account and start getting value. This approach allows us serve over 225,000 customers and counting. It also means that we spend less on marketing and sales compared to our competitors, while achieving outsized revenue growth.
Our Enterprise customers work with our sales organization, who act more as consultants and partners to accelerate digital transformation, cloud migrations, and complex system integrations to empower tens to hundreds of thousands of employees.
This unique go-to-market approach means that Product Marketers at Atlassian act as mini CMOs of their products. Atlassian PMMs work on all phases of the buyer’s journey: from creating top-of-funnel content to drive entrances and account conversions, to working with cross-functional teams to shape product messaging and onboarding, to engaging with customers to show how Atlassian products help them move work forward.
As part of our inaugural cohort in the Associate Product Marketing Manager program, you’ll grow with fellow APMMs, impact millions of users, and work with industry leaders. You’ll work with teams using both the self-service flywheel and the high-touch sales model, giving you the rare opportunity to see both models in action. This outstanding opportunity to join Atlassian as an Associate PMM will jumpstart your career with phenomenal support from a collaborative, mixed-skills team, and experience in steering the direction of our marketing initiatives. This role will provide you with a strong baseline of knowledge for all areas of product marketing including competitive analysis, growth, campaigns, product launches, content strategy, customer marketing, and the opportunity to collaborate with our product team.

More about the team
The Product Marketing team is responsible for crafting and executing GTM (Go to Market) strategy for all products across Atlassian. We act as the bridge between the audience and the rest of the organization.
We aim to deliver the right message to the right person at the right time in the right place. This means that we think about the entire buyer’s journey, and how each touch-point influences our audience. It means that we create many types of assets, and manage a mix of channels.
As part of the APMM program, you’ll have quarterly skip-level meetings and fireside chats with industry leaders across our marketing and sales organizations. The program includes guest speakers from across the organization, touching on topics like analytics, SEO, and sales, to help you become a well-rounded marketer. You’ll work directly with Product Marketing teams across Atlassian, owning projects end-to-end in tandem with your PMM mentor.
