Please let SafetyCulture know you found this offer on WeLoveProduct as a way to support us 🫶
As an Associate Product Designer, you’re responsible for working within a feature team in supporting their design delivery against a roadmap. All designers at SafetyCulture are responsible for how SafetyCulture functions, looks, feels and evolves in order to deliver high quality, innovative solutions to our customers world-wide. You do this by working closely in a design pairing or under the guidance of seniors, from distilling product strategies & opportunities into leading designed solutions.

You’ll be on the front-lines collaborating with customers as well as be hands-on the tools in honing your craft, working within your squad to fine-tune interfaces, solve customer problems & support the greater design team on design culture initiatives. As a junior member of the design team, you will be provided a lot of support and guidance — all to create an environment for you to do your best design work.

What will I be doing?

  • You have a little experience in Product Design - but you’re hungry to learn
  • You possess a portfolio or experience that demonstrates a good understanding of UI patterns, interaction paradigms and core online experiences
  • You have a working knowledge of using tools within product design (such as Figma, Miro and/or Adobe Creative Suite)
  • You are well-versed in standard practices - designing for iOS, Android and web
  • You have experience working in a collaborative team who deliver together
  • A passion for people and curiosity to understand those who will use the products you designed
  • You’re comfortable working across multiple projects in a dynamic environment where needed
  • You have good stakeholder management, planning, organisation and time management skills
  • You are willing to actively seek out feedback, mentors, learning & development opportunities to hone your skills & improve your craft

What do I need?

  • UX Design: Through a constant loop of researching, analyzing, designing, testing, launching, monitoring, and evolving, you will create usable products and experiences that help build confidence in our users with the support of design leadership & your coaches around you
  • UI Design: From components in our evolving design system to interactions, you’ll be creating pixel-perfect designs & flows that enhance our SafetyCulture product suite in order to attract and retain MAU

What capabilities do you have?

  • You’re a creative problem-solver: Problem-solving is at the heart of what we do, so we’ll be counting on you to walk the road less traveled with your team to deliver ideas & potential solutions that make a difference to users' working lives
  • You’ll have great attention to detail & be curious: You’ll make sure every pixel, every interaction, every word is striving to take our product from good to great
  • You’ll think critically: You’ll break down big, messy problems into solvable opportunities, and you’ll be a pro in collaborating with your team in evaluating and synthesising research
  • You’ll be values-driven: Last but actually first, you’ll hold our values at the core of everything you do, because they’re what bring us all together. You'll remember to always be bold & bring action to what's in front of you, be better as a team all whilst being open & honest, always. And above all else, you'll think customer. So if you're wanting to start your product design career, make sure they resonate with you.
