The Role:

Join our Design Team and make your mark as an Associate Product Designer at Plum!

Design is the heartbeat of Plum's creativity, shaping the look and feel of our products. As an Associate Product Designer, you'll get the chance to bring your ideas to life and create amazing user experiences.

We're on the lookout for someone with a passion for turning concepts into visually stunning designs that users will love. If you're excited about making a real impact on how people interact with our product and enjoy working in a collaborative environment, we'd love for you to be a part of our Design Team's exciting journey.

What you’ll do:

• Care deeply about why you’re designing something and what impact it will have for the user
• Drive end-to-end product design solutions and create high-fidelity designs, user test these designs with Plum customers and ship
• Explore competitive landscapes, success metrics, and user behaviours to inform the work you do and others in the team
• Create solutions that are data driven, that have a clear purpose and meaning outcome for customers and the business
• Develop innovative work that transforms how people think about savings and investments and long term planning
• Work as part of a cross-functional team, present ideas, solicit feedback, and review proposals in a collaborative, supportive environment
• Work independently, but also know when to work with other designers and when to ask for help

Requirements:

• Bachelors or Masters in Design, Design Communication, Human-Computer Interaction, or related field
• 2 years of relevant experience working in house as a user experience designer or relevant industry (corporate, software, web, or agency)
• Inspiring portfolio demonstrating end-to-end product experience and clear design process and decision making for mobile first products
• Explain with a clear rationale, the reasons for your design decisions, and be open to receive and give constructive feedback
• Experience designing with Figma, creating user flows, wireframes, and prototypes and delivering your designers with engineers
• Experience running user testing, running workshops and validating designs with customers and interpreting this feedback into improvements
• Demonstrate a high level of knowledge of design systems, components and the elements needed to create a leading design system
• Eager to own projects that will have an immediate impact on the business
• Have a growth mindset, actively seeks learning opportunities and builds core UX discipline skills within an agile working environment
• Ability to build trusting relationships through clear and open communication
