About this roll* (Responsibilities)
The Sling team is responsible for an employee management platform that simplifies restaurant scheduling, centralizes team communication, and provides insightful labor cost analytics.
As a design leader for Sling, you will build the products restaurants need to manage their team. Working with product management, engineering, and research counterparts, you will develop a vision for how Toast can leverage our extensive platform to ensure restaurant labor operations are a breeze. You will lead a team of product designers to validate, refine, and execute on that vision. And you will evangelize the team’s vision and progress to our executive leadership team and your stakeholders.
You will deeply understand the restaurant industry, including the needs and pain points of restaurant owners, managers, and staff. Based on that understanding, you will work with your team to create simple, innovative experiences that allow restaurants to cut through the complexity of people operations. You will lead the design strategy and execution for high impact initiatives. And you will bring a culture of collaborative design to your teams.
