Associate Brand Designer, Brand Studio

The Brand Studio team is responsible for preservation, consistency, and evolution of the visual expression at Toast. We craft delightful, thoughtful brand experiences that drive consistency across the Toast customer journey through collaboration and problem-solving, tied together by stellar visual design chops.

As a designer on the brand studio team,  you'll produce visual designs for brand surfaces, partner to maintain and refresh brand libraries, and build resources that enable Toasters to create on-brand deliverables efficiently. The ideal candidate for this role is craft-focused with a strong understanding of core brand principles, visual identity systems, and brand application. You are excited about collaboration and have a pulse on the bigger picture while maintaining an eye for the details.

About this roll* (Responsibilities) 

• Design and produce compelling creative across brand surfaces (presentations, sales collateral, digital content, reports, promotion graphics, web assets, and more).
• Contribute to all stages of the design process – from ideation and concepting to production and final delivery.
• Create templates at scale to enable Toasters across the company to apply the brand accurately and efficiently. 
• Partner with project managers to support self-service workflows to systematize repeatable or templated work.
• Leverage data and insights to inform your design decisions, ensuring alignment with brand strategy and business goals.
• Influence the Toast brand expression through extension of brand systems and libraries to uphold quality and consistency. 
• Contribute to a culture of creative excellence through participation in cross-functional design and creative reviews.
• Collaborate with the larger Creative team on visual design needs.

Do you have the right ingredients*? (Requirements)

• A stellar portfolio of work that demonstrates a strong sense of craft and an ability to execute across various channels.
• 2+ years of related work experience 
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to translate complex concepts into clear and concise visuals.
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to juggle multiple projects, communicate effectively with stakeholders, and manage quick deadlines
• Attention to detail and a passion for quality 
• Expertise in visual design tools like Figma, Illustrator, and Indesign.
