The Role

We are currently seeking an Associate Product Manager to join the Product Management team, focused on improving our portfolio analysis offering.

The Financial Analytics group builds products that allow financial advisors to create detailed and flexible portfolio analysis, including performance and risk analysis, bill clients, and establish ownership hierarchies and entity relationships. The calculations and attribute framework owned by the calculations team in Financial Analytics power the reporting and analysis capabilities throughout the Addepar products, including the advisor facing analysis tool, end client reporting and portal, and on to rebalancing, scenario modeling, and third party partners.

The Associate Product Manager for the calculations team will work with the lead product manager and other teammates to help identify customer needs, maintain a product roadmap and vision, define and track success metrics, and facilitate cross-functional collaboration.

What You’ll Do

  • Support the Lead PM and the team by contributing to story writing, roadmap planning, agile scrum ceremonies, understanding user needs, and collaborative solutioning
  • Help maintain the Jira backlog, write documentation, respond to support requests, collect usage data, perform QA, and triage bugs
  • Help build a visionary product roadmap by translating inputs from the entire product landscape (user needs, business goals, competitive position, technology, usage data) into valuable outcomes for users and the business
  • Employ agile thinking and lean practices, such as hypothesis-driven and iterative development, collaborative problem definition, and early and frequent delivery of small increments of larger product goals
  • Track product enhancement ideas, prioritize increments of value delivery, manage the product backlog, define user stories, and specify acceptance criteria
  • Collect qualitative and quantitative data to drive product decisions and plans
  • Define metrics for tracking product usage as well as the success of both the team and the outcomes delivered to users
  • Perform basic project and scrum management
  • Partner with Sales and Marketing to ensure solutions are positioned in the market according to the workflows they are intended to support

  • Customer-obsessed and empathetic of the user experience; able to present user data that supports, and drives enthusiasm for, the vision, strategies, and goals
  • Excited to “roll up your sleeves” and dive deeply into our users’ most complex problems,
  • Self-directed and able to work within ambiguity
  • Highly motivated to learn, open to direction, willing to take and apply feedback, and eager to facilitate within and across teams and roles
