Accessibility Product Manager

We're seeking an experienced Accessibility Product Manager to lead our cross-functional accessibility initiatives across Engineering, Product, and Design teams. In this pivotal role, you'll champion accessibility standards throughout our product development lifecycle, ensuring our solutions are inclusive and accessible to all users. You'll work closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to implement best practices, conduct regular audits, and drive continuous improvement in our accessibility approach.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the company's accessibility subject matter expert, collaborating across Engineering, Product, and Design to integrate accessibility considerations into all product development processes.
• Define and establish organizational accessibility standards that align with industry regulations (WCAG, ADA, Section 508) and best practices.
• Develop and implement a governance and ownership structure for accessibility across Engineering, Product, and Design functions.
• Conduct regular accessibility audits and create Accessibility Conformance Reports (ACRs) to track progress and compliance.
• Design and implement accessible solutions for new product features and improvements to existing functionality.
• Build relationships with external accessibility partners and vendors to ensure integrated solutions meet compliance requirements.
• Create educational resources and training programs to enhance the organization's accessibility capabilities.
• Establish monitoring systems to proactively identify and address accessibility issues.
• Maintain clear communication with stakeholders about accessibility initiatives, progress, and challenges.
• Foster a culture of accessibility awareness and advocacy throughout the organization.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of product management experience, with at least 2 years focused on accessibility initiatives/projects.
• Strong understanding of accessibility standards and guidelines (WCAG 2.1/2.2, ADA, Section 508).
• Experience conducting accessibility audits and producing compliance reports.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively across Engineering, Product, and Design functions.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical accessibility requirements into actionable plans.
• Experience managing relationships with external vendors and partners.
• Familiarity with assistive technologies (screen readers, voice recognition, etc.).
• Knowledge of accessibility testing methodologies and tools.
• Strong project management and organizational skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, or related field (or equivalent experience).

Preferred Qualifications

• Accessibility certifications.
• Experience implementing accessibility in digital financial products.
• Knowledge of inclusive design principles and universal design.
• Experience creating and delivering accessibility training programs.
• Background in user experience design or research.
