We’re TheyDo, a fully remote B2B SaaS organisation. Founded in 2019, we are the leading journey management platform, on a mission to make the customer journey the most powerful business tool there is.

In March 2024 we announced our latest funding round worth $34 million. Combined with our Series A raise in 2022 it takes our total investment to just under $50 million. Our angel investors include executives from Intercom, Miro, OpenAI, Amplitude, Slack, Airtable and more.

We support and partner with renowned enterprise organizations such as Cisco, Ford, Johnson & Johnson, Home Depot and Polestar, helping them manage their complex journeys and optimize them for efficient growth, removing the need for constant transformation.

We kicked off 2024 with a global team of 65 TheyDoers, representing over 30 nationalities across 20 countries.

This is just the beginning. Join our exciting journey as we scale to over 100 by the end of this year!

Role description

TheyDo is seeking a VP Product to redefine journey management as a software category.

You will report directly to Jochem our CEO who has been leading Product & Design till today. As we’re pioneering the journey-centric operating model, we are in a position to become synonymous with customer-centricity in B2B.

As a VP Product, you will:

  • Build and scale a world-class product org around the customer journey

  • Help us become the synonymous to customer-centricity in B2B SaaS

  • Own the product investment strategy, prioritization and roadmap

  • Focus on productivity & efficiency

We’re at the next inflection point in our growth. In one way, we’re still at the early stages of scaling our product, and we expect you to shape and impact TheyDo’s model significantly together with our founders - in another, we see Fortune 500 companies consistently approaching TheyDo as the solution to make their customer-centric strategy work.

About the company

TheyDo is a Journey Management Solution for Enterprise.

We’re a fully remote B2B SaaS organization, pioneering a brand new category in software: Customer Journey Management.

Our freemium experience is a core pillar that allows customers to discover, try and get initial value from the product. But as the ROI for journey management is so much more than using our features, we are building out an Enterprise sales motion on top of the PLS engine.

Companies like Ford, Polestar and Home Depot are all introducing a journey-centric operating model - and we’re in a position to create, develop and lead this entire new category. To get to where we are today, we’ve always relied on a bottom-up motion. Now that more and more Fortune 500 companies are building a journey-centric strategy, it’s time to build out the product for Enterprise.

What you will do:

  • Be foundational in putting TheyDo on the map as the #1 customer-centric B2B vendor in the world

  • Focus on productivity, structure and efficiency: the speed at which we deliver is going to be key to stay ahead of the competition

  • Take over product leadership from the CEO

    • Adopt a team of 4 product teams + design

    • Build this out to a mature scalable product org

  • Be responsible for the product roadmap

  • Drive and evolve our product-investment strategy

  • Focus on customer-value, where success will be expressed in the Average Return Per Customer

  • Focus on efficiency and predictability: even though output of our teams is high - we want teams to deliver value rather than features.

  • Accelerate our GTM collaborate with:

    • Marketing, Sales to drive net new

    • CSM, Enablement to drive expansion

What you won’t do

  • Let others do the work. We’re in this together, and we believe the best way to learn is to be in the trenches - especially in the early days.

  • Build a traditional product organization. Our role is to pioneer the journey-led approach, which requires to innovate on the way product teams operate

  • Wait for permission. The time is now and you will have our CEO’s full support to drive product as a force of nature.

What we’re looking for

  • Instant gut-feel for what a great product looks & feels like

  • A people-first leader, who is firm but reflective at all times

  • A journey-first mindset: it’s all about the customer experience

  • An understanding of how initiatives drive significant revenue impact

  • Strong simplification skills, you’re data-driven and methodical

  • Effective communicator with strong prioritization skills

  • A self-managed individual that thrives working in a remote environment

  • A preference for written communication (you will write and collaborate async a lot!)

  • 5+ years of experience in product leadership

  • Experience building bespoke Enterprise products is a big plus
