About the role:

As the product and innovation leader in our market, the VP of Product Marketing is a critical role. Reporting to the CMO, the VP of Product Marketing will lead product launches, refine our positioning, collaborate with sales enablement, amplify our partner go-to-market and serve on the company’s Executive Leadership Team.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Launch. Forter invests nearly 40% of revenue into R&D, and so we have an ambitious product roadmap. Expect to collaborate with Product Management and other teams to define launch plans, build our go to market strategy, ensure clear communication, and reinforce Forter as the market innovator. 
  • Position. Forter’s platform and results are differentiated, but competition in our market is aggressive. Work with our Creative, Comms and other teams to refresh and reinforce our brand framework and messaging, ensuring we stand apart from other providers. 
  • Center. We believe that success depends on how deeply we understand our customer. Work with marketing team members and exec leadership to define our Ideal Customer Profile, and center marketing efforts on reaching key personas. 
  • Enable. We have rapidly grown our sales team and our platform, and that has created a sales enablement gap. Team with Sales Enablement on a comprehensive enablement program and provide the necessary input and support to feed training and certifications. 
  • Partner. Understand the Business Development team’s goals to prioritize GTM programs and enablement. Identify market opportunities for Forter’s offerings and develop solutions with partners to accelerate growth. 
  • Educate / Energize. The VP of Product Marketing is a key voice internally and externally in the market. We will support your efforts to write and speak and educate our target audiences. 
  • Lead. Guide a high-performing team that includes product marketing, partner marketing and competitive intelligence. 

What you’ll need:

  • Strategic thinker. As a VP at Forter, you will be part of the extended leadership team, meeting twice each year with all other VP+ leaders at the company. Be ready to dig into our strategy, vision, and most critical business decisions. 
  • Player/coach. Forter is a fast-paced, very global company. Leaders here roll up their sleeves, provide early / thoughtful direction and clear obstacles for their team members.  
  • Market insight. Success in this role requires experience in digital commerce or payments; we need your expertise to influence key decisions around roadmap, go-to-market and more. 
  • Proven track record: You’ve successfully managed a high-performing product marketing team and influenced product roadmaps, category design and more. 
  • Global mindset: Stay ahead of the curve by monitoring social media trends and emerging technologies to keep Forter one step ahead.
  • Communication skills. Consistent with the above responsibilities, we’ll be counting on you to share our roadmap, engage with analysts and speak at events.

Salary Range: $236,000 - $300,000 annually + bonus + equity + benefits
The referenced salary range is based on the Company's good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, and skill level.
