Although we're headquartered in San Francisco, we're on a journey to becoming a globally antiracist company that supports diversity, equity & inclusion wherever we do business. We employ thousands of Twilions worldwide, and we're looking for more builders, creators, and innovators to help fuel our growth momentum.

About the job

As the VP Product Management - Communications Demand Platform, you are at the heart of the world’s largest communication platform, leveraging our unique data moat to route billions of communications real time.

We're seeking a highly quantitative and experienced product leader with a track record of leveraging massive data sets to drive innovative and highly optimized products that work in real time at internet scale. You will lead a high performance team of product managers to engage customers, set strategy, define roadmaps, and work with engineering to deliver and guide execution to ensure value realization and business impact. Leveraging your proven track record of building, scaling and optimizing  data products in areas like marketplaces, consumer internet (search, ads) or telecom routing.  You are expected to work with senior level customer partners to drive adoption.

The role is highly cross-functional and requires a leader that enjoys navigating ambiguity, working in a fast-paced environment, aligning exec partners, collaborating with teams across time-zones and thinking globally.

If you are a leader who believes deeply in building inclusive and anti-racist environments, allowing employees from all backgrounds to contribute, grow and prosper, we’d love to hear from you.  As a senior leader in EMEA, you must be a visible advocate and champion for our values, the Twilio Magic, helping build Twilio’s brand as an inclusive and diverse employer both internally and within the communities of our hubs in EMEA. You must believe a diverse team, from the top down, allows all employees to achieve their full potential and as a result will allow Twilio to reach our goals, collectively.

In this role you will:

  • Own the product vision for how billions of communications most efficiently are delivered to consumers with the highest level of engagement. - Ensure that it aligns with the overall product and company strategy. Be a specialist on the domain, the market, the trends. Evangelize the vision constantly so all stakeholders are aligned, have context and understand where we are going. Get results by approaching everything with drive and energy with an eye on both the bottom line and customer success.
  • Drive product lifecycle - Collaborate with engineering, user experience, documentation, infrastructure and go-to-market teams to drive the product lifecycle from concept to customer success. Work optimally with customers, partners, executives, stakeholders, and our technology teams to build a well defined and integrated roadmap to deliver on the vision.
  • Champion the strategy - Work with go-to-market teams, product marketing, sales, services, and enablement teams to establish thought leadership in the market
  • Represent the customer - Be the champion and voice of customers. Build impactful, personal relationships with customers, engineering teams, and the field. Bring the customer’s voice into the creation process.
  • Think Strategically - Know what it takes to give our product and platform a competitive advantage. Operate both strategically and tactically in a dynamic environment. Develop relevant, sustainable solutions. Align the right resources to the task at hand; foresee and plan around obstacles.
  • Analyze and synthesize broad, cross-business or cross-discipline information that leads to breakthroughs or significant insights.
  • Lead and collaborate across teams - We win or lose as a team. Product Managers play a critical role in creating alignment between engineering teams and partners. This role requires many cross-functional team initiatives. A collaborative approach and demeanor is important.
  • Mentor and develop the product management team for the next phase of growth for the business. Lead the organization to evolve to a results-oriented, innovative, best-in-class product organization.

What you need to succeed:
