Visual Designer

We are looking for an experienced Visual Designer to join our team. You will be responsible for helping enhance Aware’s visual presence with eye-catching and professional designs. These responsibilities also include inspiring change, delivering oral and written presentations, and helping the team better understand what would make our brand stronger and more appealing.

• Execute design and conceptual tasks as assigned with significant attention to detail.
• Define and create a visual language as an extension of the brand (illustrations, icons, colors, typography, animations, etc.)
• Be an advocate for consistent and cohesive design throughout the company.
• Contribute to Aware’s brand vision and design standards.
• Educate others on design thinking, brand experience, and design-driven storytelling.
• Collaborate with Content Marketing, and others, to establish a clear and concise brand voice, tone, and personality.
• Collaborate with Product Designers to create and maintain a cohesive and consistent brand experience between Marketing and Product.
• Continually iterate on concepts in an effort to make the brand relevant and relatable to our audience.
• Strong ability to prioritize work and resources across various projects.

• 3+ more years of experience as a Visual Designer, Brand Designer or similar.
• Advanced proficiency in design softwares such as Figma, Adobe Creative Suite and Pitch.
• Strong portfolio with relevant work and ability to showcase it and present it.
• Ability to effectively communicate conceptual ideas and design rationale.
• Proficiency in keeping up with visual design technologies and industry trends.
• Excellent time-management skills.
• Illustration skills are a big plus.

Aware is a remote-first company, we are headquartered in Berlin, but you can be based anywhere within 2 timezones. Wherever you are, we will help with paperwork and set you up with a co-working space or a home-office. Alternatively if you'd like to move to Berlin, we are happy to help you relocate!
