As a UX Researcher, you will be responsible for planning, conducting, and analyzing both qualitative and quantitative research to uncover user needs, behaviors, and motivations. You will work closely with product designers, engineers & product managers to provide actionable insights that influence the design and development of our product.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute user research: including interviews, surveys, usability tests and contextual inquiries to gain insights into user needs & behaviors
- Analyze and interpret both qualitative and quantitative data, utilizing tools like SQL to query and extract relevant data for research purposes
- Work closely with designers, developers, marketing & product managers to translate research insights into actionable design and product improvements
- Advocate for user needs throughout the product development lifecycle, ensuring that user-centered principles are integrated into the design process
- Synthesize research findings into compelling presentations, journeys, and user profiles that communicate insights effectively to stakeholders at all levels
- Stay up-to-date with industry best practices, new research methodologies, and tools, etc
Experience and Background:
- 2-3 years of experience in UX research with a strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in both qualitative & quantitative research methods
- Very strong understanding of design & UX principles
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present research findings clearly and persuasively
- Basic knowledge of SQL and experience querying databases to extract relevant data for research purposes (experience with tools like SQL Server, MySQL, or PostgreSQL is a plus)
- Strong experience with various research techniques, including usability testing, surveys, interviews, and ethnographic studies
- Ability to analyze complex data sets and draw meaningful conclusions that inform design and product decisions. Experience with segmentation is a big plus
- Proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including designers, engineers, and product managers
- A degree in a relevant field (e.g., HCI, Psychology, Anthropology, Design, or similar) or equivalent work experience
Nice to Have:
- Experience with advanced data analysis or statistical methods
- Knowledge of UX design tools like Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD
