The Opportunity.

As a UX Researcher, you’ll help define and grow Postman’s Research capabilities and coverage. You’ll design and manage mixed methods of research, review, and testing to ensure Postman is continually delivering highly usable, valuable, and accessible product experiences. We’re looking for someone who fully understands how quantitative and qualitative data and insights work together to improve overall insights and, as a result, interactions. What You'll Do.

• Evaluate the Postman product and representation of services for quality, user flows, and measurement of successful user experience
• Define and deliver mixed methods research that includes secondary, qualitative, and limited quantitative research
• Become proficient in distilling research results into usable and searchable data by coding and tagging insights for sharing across teams 
• Develop and distribute regular research reports including detailed findings, insights, and recommendations for additional research areas 
• Based on research outcomes and findings, work with research and design teams on recommendations for changes to improve usability, overall experience, and efficiency
• Socialize and collaborate with multiple teams to share larger research findings 
• Collaborate across support, success, marketing, product teams, and other customer-facing touchpoints to manage combined user outreach in a coordinated and efficient manner
• Identify and share opportunities for research roadmap consideration and independent projects
• Contribute to a growing team with skills, active involvement, collaboration, and a good attitude

About You.

• 4+ years of UX Research experience based on proven industry research and standards 
• Possess a keen, trained sense of usability best practices, and the reasons behind them
• Maintain the idea of impact in all you do
• Portfolio of research deliverables and the impact they made
• Experience researching and testing products of that are transactional and complex in design   
• Possess a strong sense of self-direction, curiosity, energy, and ability to work in an exceptional growth start-up environment
• Excellent organizational and communication skills including documentation 
• Experience with team collaboration and documentation tools (JIRA and Confluence helpful)  
• Advanced experience in multiple and mixed methods of research including but not limited to numerous interviews surveys, polls, in-app surveys, and log file analysis and analytics  
• Bachelors and/or Master’s Degree in the study of user experience, design, research, or related fields such as information architecture, human factors/HCI, psychology, cognitive sciences OR alternative equivalent project/portfolio experience
