We are looking for a human-centered UX Researcher to join our Direct Ordering team that supports On-Premise Dining, Digital Ordering, Serve (Olo's white label ordering platform), Order Delivery, and Brand Retention.
Reporting to the Director of Product Design, you will create unique digital experiences and solutions by combining customer insights, business analytics, and design strategy. This is a highly influential role where you will work cross-functionally with designers, product managers, and engineers to drive direction and vision for multiple products across a broad range of enterprise restaurant customers.
You can work remotely from anywhere in the U.S. or at Olo's headquarters in NYC on the 82nd floor of One World Trade Center.
What You'll Do
- Develop and implement research strategies and methodologies by conducting primary and secondary user research and leveraging various UX research tools.
- Lead user research by recruiting participants and analyzing user behavior in the field to discover insights first-hand through interviews, intercepts, contextual observations, and other creative methods.
- Validate designs through research, including competitive analysis, data analytics, and interaction with clients and end-users.
- Collaborate and inform the product strategy and roadmap by synthesizing qualitative and quantitative analytic findings and delivering compelling design concepts in a way that energizes and motivates teams.
- Create great experiences by ensuring alignment with user research insights, experience metrics, and business outcomes.
- Adopt an omnichannel holistic mindset about delivering the customer journey across multiple device and channel touchpoints.
- Make recommendations using service blueprints, future state maps, user journeys, and more.
What We'll Expect From You
- 4+ years of experience as a Researcher, Strategist, or related design field.
- Ability to present examples of research findings and consumer insights that led to successful design outcomes.
- Portfolio or case studies demonstrating research principles that lead to features or new products shipped.
- Passion for user-centered design, visual design, and understanding of how to unite user goals with business goals.
- UX disciplines such as UX research methods, information architecture, usability testing, and content strategies.
