About the role

The UX Team at UW is growing fast and we're looking for a UX Designer to help us solve complex problems and make things simple for our users. You'll be part of a highly collaborative UX community, whose mission is to make managing utilities effortless for our customers.

You’ll work in the Customer Support squad who are responsible for breaking down complex tasks into simple and intuitive solutions for our team of advisors. We’re looking for someone who is user-centric, empathetic and data-driven to help us shape and design best in class experiences on our very own UW handcrafted CRM platform.

What you'll do

  • Conduct user research to discover insights that help define the product experience and strategy 
  • Distil user insights and business requirements into customer journey flows
  • Create wireframes and prototypes to test and validate product ideas
  • Interrogate data in order to understand users’ behaviour and inform design decisions 
  • Collaborate with Product Managers, Engineers and key stakeholders and be the voice of our customers
  • Understand the importance of inclusive design and always meet accessibility standards
  • Make continuous improvements through running experiments, A/B testing, user testing and user feedback
  • Create experience maps/service blueprints to help the business identify opportunities
  • Contribute towards and help build our design systems
  • Work in partnership with engineers to ensure smooth handover of design specs
  • Run UX ideation workshops to drive shared understanding across teams

About you

  • A solid understanding of user-centred design with the ability to balance user and business needs
  • Best-in-class design, wireframe (low and high fidelity) and prototyping skills
  • Passionate about good design with exceptional attention to detail
  • Able to clearly demonstrate your process, methodology and approach to UX design strategy
  • A self-motivated individual who enjoys delivering high quality work in a fast-paced environment
  • Enjoy being part of a UX community to share, collaborate and give/receive feedback on your work
  • An effective communicator who can confidently share design concepts clearly
  • Comfortable with conducting user interviews and user research sessions
