We are looking for a User Research Manager to join our Core Experience Insights team, to help us drive and support evidence-based decisions throughout Spotify's product development process.
In this role, you will lead a team of six User Researchers. You will be responsible for planning and overseeing a mix of strategic and tactical user research that will help us to make good product decisions. Above all, your work will impact the way the world experiences music, podcasts, and audiobooks.
What you’ll do
- Nurture a team of user researchers and set focus, strategy and priorities for the team's work to influence and impact the organization
- Ensure insights are useful to drive decisions and discussions across the business
- Provide coaching, leadership and mentorship to the broader product insights team
- Communicate evidence based insights and recommendations to key collaborators at the Director, VP and Executive levels
- Work with your team and stakeholders to ensure you’re optimizing for impact in a dynamic and fast paced environment where priorities shift quickly
- Build relationships to work closely with cross-functional teams of UR teams, designers, data science, product manager and engineers, empower and coach your team to do the same
Who you are
- You are an experienced user research manager with a demonstrated track record of leading impactful research initiatives at a consumer-focused company
- You have a degree in Human Computer Interaction, Psychology, Social Science, or a related field
- You are comfortable planning, scoping, conducting, analyzing and communicating research in a direct and impactful way
- You are familiar with quantitative research methods, comfortable with metrics and A/B tests, and are able to synthesize quantitative data with qualitative user research
- Passion for making sense of user behavior, using any available methods and a dedicated advocate of a user-centered approach
- You are a great storyteller and communicator, and can build relationships with a diverse set of stakeholders
- You are capable of tackling ambiguous problem spaces and challenges
- You excel at empowering team members with experience coaching and growing individual contributors in their own career growth

- Working hours? We operate within the Central European and GMT time zones for collaboration and ask that all be located that time zone.
