Technical Product Manager - IOT

THE ROLE AND YOUR IMPACT AT TIER 

• As the PM of the IOT platform team you'll strive to make the developer experience as smooth as possible for our product teams working with connected assets. Your services, events, and SDKs enable them to focus on integral parts of their products rather than spending time building the basics. 
• You'll plan the discovery, development and continuous improvement of features for our IoT stack. 
• You'll be the leading advocate for IoT services, promoting best practices and guiding teams through onboarding with new features. 
• You'll work with vendors and partners to enhance the capabilities of our IoT services to meet the growing needs of our products. 
• You'll identify the most critical problems and define which of them should be solved based on data and insights around your users and the business. 
• You'll ensure that the desired metrics and KPIs are met throughout the lifecycle of your products and services. 
• You'll work with interdisciplinary teams from various backgrounds such as design, business intelligence, research, data products, and engineering. 

YOU’LL FIT GREAT WITH THESE SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS 

• You have a fail first and experimentation mindset to approach problems, finding solutions and continuously improving existing products. 
• You have 3+ years of working experience in the product area, with knowledge and comprehension of product processes. 
• Large, complex, and confusing problems excite you and you solve core problems, not merely the symptoms. 
• You can identify high-value opportunities and block out the remaining noise. 
• You have well-honed people leadership skills, and understand and know how to instill habits for high-performance teams. 
• You speak "tech". You do not need to be an engineer, but should be interested in and be comfortable talking about technology. 
• Preferably you have experience building IoT or similarly technical products.
