Twilio powers real-time business communications and data solutions that help companies and developers worldwide build better applications and customer experiences.

Although we're headquartered in San Francisco, we're on a journey to becoming a globally antiracist company that supports diversity, equity & inclusion wherever we do business. We employ thousands of Twilions worldwide, and we're looking for more builders, creators, and visionaries to help fuel our growth momentum.

About the job

This position is needed to provide a delightful developer experience as they onboard and build their applications with video capabilities.

As a Programmable Video team, we strive to make it incredibly simple for customers to embed video into their solutions to powering meaningful conversations at scale. We do this by providing an exceptional developer experience with programmability at every level, high quality global infrastructure that is cost-competitive, and differentiated media processing capabilities.

We are looking for a passionate and experienced product leader to join the team responsible for the core developer experience. As a product manager, you will be responsible for providing a delightful developer experience as they onboard and build their applications.

Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll:

Represent your product roadmap and business metrics to Twilio’s executives, customers, and to product teams across the company
  • Spend time with developers to deeply understand the problems they are trying to solve and help them to be successful. Deeply understand the developer journey, from onboarding through building an application
  • Prioritize your backlog to ensure you are always delivering the highest value features. Manage project plans for on-time development and release. Ensure that engineering is working on the right things at the right time.
  • Craft the developer experience. Work closely with engineers  and cross-functional teams on defining solutions to address gaps in developer experience.
  • Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication - ensure that complex ideas, thoughts, and vision can be communicated simply and effectively.

While having “desired” qualifications make for a strong candidate, we encourage applicants with alternative experiences to also apply. If your career is just starting or hasn't followed a traditional path, don't let that stop you from considering Twilio. We are always looking for people who will bring something new to the table!

Required:

  • You have 5+ years experience as a Product Manager for a technology company.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral. You can tailor your message based on the audience.

  • You have experience leading cross functional teams and know how to get the best out of your team
  • You are data driven with strong analytical skills
  • You have experience writing code - for fun, college, or work. We are looking for someone with a technical bent to communicate with our engineers and engineering management, as well as our large developer base.
