We're looking for a Senior UX Researcher to join the Insights and Design team at Zapier. Zapier’s on a mission to make everyone more productive at work. Zapier has helped millions of people build businesses through the power of automation. The Senior UX Researcher will be responsible for designing and running end-to-end research projects. You’ll explore customer behaviors and motivations by conducting primary and secondary research. You’ll collaborate with UX researchers, Data Scientists, and Market Researchers to help teams across the company better understand customers needs. These insights will play a critical role when leaders across the company set strategy and create product roadmaps.
If you’re interested in advancing your career at a fast-growing, profitable, impact-driven company, then read on…
You’re a systems-thinker. You have about 3- 5 years of experience designing, running, and delivering your research, you consider how various roles, teams, and processes relate to each other.
You excel at a variety of research methods. You’re adept at a range of methods including qualitative interviews, surveys, diary studies, and usability testing.
You’re a skilled storyteller. You know how to craft a simple and compelling narrative to help people understand your insights. You create supporting artefacts to help teams better understand the stories that you craft.
You can work in an ambiguous space. The research questions and problems you’ll investigate will often be nebulous. You’re comfortable working on projects where the initial path isn’t always clear and where stakeholders can also be unsure of the best approach to take.
You love collaboration and feedback. You understand that success in this role won’t happen in a vacuum or in secret. You believe in sharing work early, openly, and often. You enjoy teaming up with researchers, decision scientists, and more to help multiply the value of research insights.
You are resourceful. When you face obstacles, you know when to get help, and you work diligently to make progress on your projects.
