We’re on the hunt for an amazing Sr. Product Marketing Manager, Technical Products who’ll be critical in shaping how we position the Gong product to technical personas. In this newly created position, you’ll work closely with our technical product teams to inform their roadmap with market & buyer research, and develop compelling messaging that differentiates Gong’s core functionality in the market. You’ll develop deep expertise in target personas—their key use cases and pains—to equip the GTM team with messaging and materials, so they can confidently sell to technical audiences. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work closely with Gong’s technical product teams (AI/ML technology, platform/API, security/compliance, and analytics) to inform what we build, who we build for, and how we meet their market requirements through evidence-based research (market, customer, competitive, buyer research) 
  • Drive GTM strategy and craft customer-centric messaging for our technical products
  • Conduct market/competitive research, gather sales feedback and interview customers to develop a deep understanding of the Revenue Ops persona, and other technical buyer personas
  • Develop processes to understand technical customer use cases, package those insights, and promote them in a way that drives customer adoption
  • Create materials & demos for our sales engineering teams; iterate based on sales and customer feedback
  • Provide product positioning, demos, and roadmap vision for analyst engagements
  • Execute complex projects and content development from start to finish that includes multiple stakeholders and channels, and establish ways to measure and learn from content and assets
  • Work closely with Demand Generation and Customer Marketing teams to reach technical audiences, and generate pipeline

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 8+ years of work experience in relevant product marketing, sales engineering, technical consulting, or product management roles; preferably 4 years of product marketing experience in the B2B SaaS space
  • Ability to go deep into the technical products, and create compelling, customer-centric messaging that resonates with technical buyers
  • Proven track record of working with technical personas, technical product teams (AI/ML technologies, compliance/security features, or platform/API), and sales engineering
  • Highly cross-functional, with the ability to partner with different teams across the company
  • Stand out verbal, written, visual/presentation, and demo skills
  • A demonstrated mix of creative and analytical skills; proven ability to succinctly synthesize research and provide recommendations in a clear, digestible way
  • Impeccable organizational skills and a strong bias to action; is a project management whiz; sets optimistic but reachable deadlines and leverages project and time management skills to meet them 
  • Self-starter with the ability to succeed in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
  • Previous start-up experience is a huge plus
  • BA or BS degree; MBA a plus
