About the job

This position is needed to develop and support a vision for the future of customer engagement, focused on our Twilio for Marketing products which include Personas, Engage, and Marketing Campaigns. In this role you will be responsible for positioning, messaging and GTM activities around product launches, content, and campaign development. We don’t have hard and fast requirements - everyone is different. We are looking for you to demonstrate whether you have the core attributes of a phenomenal product marketer and that you care about software products for marketers. 

Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Develop the roadmap: Synthesize market, customer success, and sales needs to help inform and develop the product roadmap for the Marketing Campaigns product and other Twilio Engage products.
  • Develop positioning: Craft compelling positioning for the Twilio for Marketing initiative in collaboration with PMMs from Twilio and Segment. 
  • Develop the up-sell strategy: Develop and rollout the strategy for upsell from Email API to Marketing Campaigns to Twilio Engage along with customer communications and sales motions.
  • Develop buyer-personas: Conduct customer research and develop buyer personas and share with executives and product partners. 
  • Launch new features: Oversee the launch of top customer-requested products and features across Twilio Engage products. 
  • Develop competitive landscape: Conduct competitive and market analysis, by analyzing win/loss rates, qualitative customer interviews, and external competitor research and synthesize into competitive battlecards. 
  • Integrated Campaigns: Partner with Integrated Campaigns to develop and deliver webinar content to drive pipeline for the Twilio for Marketing initiative. 
  • Deliver presentations: Drive product and customer presentations for SIGNAL’22 focused on the Twilio for Marketing initiative.

Required:

  • 3-4 years of relevant work experience (marketing, product, sales), including B2B product marketing experience. 
  • Incredibly organized and efficient—you take on complex projects and campaigns and own them from start to finish.
  • Can lead feature launches autonomously and contributed to large product launches.
  • Have experience marketing a product to product management, marketing, engineering or analytics teams.
  • Have strong product instincts and technical curiosity that translate to clear packaging, positioning, and messaging.
  • Have exceptional written, communication, and speaking skills. 
  • Thrive in cross-functional environments and can effectively collaborate with product, marketing, and sales teams.
  • Approach all projects with a customer-first mindset.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. 

Desired:

  • Experience marketing to the marketer persona and interest in marketing software solutions. 
  • Experience working with the analyst community and presenting them with a point of view on product and industry trends.
  • Experience with B2C as well as B2B SaaS Products.

Location 

This role will be remote, and based in the USA.

  • The estimated pay range for this role, based in Colorado, is $120,160- $165,220.
  • Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Twilio's equity plan.

The successful candidate’s starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location within the state. This role is also eligible to participate in Twilio’s equity plan and for the following benefits: health care insurance, 401(k) retirement account, paid sick time, paid personal time off, paid parental leave.
