What you’ll do:

We need your help with building a strategic, powerhouse product marketing function that lands products in the market, influences product strategy, and delivers the right messaging and positioning to fuel our next stage of growth. This is a highly visible and strategic role where you will be building sub-functions, driving go-to-market strategy, partnering with almost every team at Productboard, and defining new ways of working to support our business goals.

The role will report to our Director of Product Marketing and is based in the San Francisco Bay Area (hybrid, 2 days per week in SF).

You will:

  • Craft differentiated messaging, positioning, and stories for our target audiences, informed by a deep understanding of our customers, market, and product

  • Orchestrate impactful product launches that drive growth and engagement, working closely with counterparts across Marketing, Product, Sales, GTM Enablement, and Customer Success

  • Become an expert in the customer buying decision, competitors, and fast-evolving landscape and represent the voice of the customer throughout the organization

  • Use insights from customer conversations and internal data to proactively identify ways to improve our messaging, sales process, and product capabilities

  • Make sure our customer-facing teams are set up for success through impactful enablement programs

  • Partner closely with our Content and Revenue Marketing teams to land cohesive campaigns that drive customer demand, adoption, or expansion

  • Develop assets (e.g., presentations, data sheets, webpages) that support all levels of our marketing funnel + stages of our sales process

  • Build and scale repeatable programs and processes that supports our business objectives, and takes our Product Marketing team to the next level

What you bring to the table:

  • 6+ years of job experience, with 4+ yrs experience in a product marketing role for a B2B SaaS company

  • Relevant experience in strategy consulting, customer advocacy, content marketing, or customer success is a plus

  • Well-rounded business athlete — with a strong mix of strategic thinking, business acumen, storytelling, creativity, and operational discipline

  • Master communicator who can distill complex, technical ideas into compelling messaging and collateral

  • Ability to thrive in ambiguous environments – excited about figuring out solutions to complex problems and executing on them

  • Experience launching new products and features to market in a fast-paced startup environment

  • A high-quality portfolio that demonstrates your ability to write and deliver content

  • Insatiable curiosity, a passion for understanding customers, and a deep empathy for product teams

  • Excellent interpersonal skills that enable you to build champions with internal and external stakeholders across diverse teams

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent experience; MBA a plus
