We are looking for a Senior Product Manager, Vehicle Systems, Accessories with a solid academic background and a desire to influence a cleaner future through the electrification of the transportation space. Candidates will be expected to demonstrate excellence in their respective fields, especially as product manager, to possess the ability to learn quickly and to strive for perfection within a fast-paced environment.

Our ideal candidates exhibit a can-do attitude, hands-on approach working with vigor and determination, and will relentlessly strive to identify opportunities to scale our product portfolio and enhance our customer experience.

They are a product professional with experience driving the incubation, conceptualization, design, definition, implementation and evolution of customer-facing features that are enabled by state-of-art technology and software applications, with strong communication and organizational capabilities and the ability to influence and coordinate with talented teams and stakeholders: marketing, UX/UI, design studio, research/tech-scouting, sales, service, QA, engineering, and other product developers; for a seamless product/feature development.

The candidates effectively communicate the customer needs, gleans relevant insights, prioritize features, manage internal stakeholders, and ensure the proper project execution across the cross-functional teams.

The Role:

  • Develop and manage our Vehicle Products portfolio for experiences based on, but not limited to Vehicle and Lifestyle Accessories.
  • Be the voice of the customer, making decisions or proposing recommendations with a data-driven mindset, customer-centric design, and supported by stakeholders, such as: product marketing, brand, UX/UI design, program management, engineering, service, sales etc.
  • Drive the definition of feature requirements and be accountable for the end-to-end product implementation.
  • Successfully represent the customers’ interests by efficiently persuading our internal clients and upper management on the benefits and positive impact of your experiences, products, and features.
  • Effectively evaluate trade-offs considering all project influential aspects: timing, technical and variant complexity (hardware and software), costs, quality, market offering, communication campaigns, UX/UI etc.
  • Quickly build and nurture relationships with stakeholders from various departments, becoming the center point of customer experience and product design.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as product manager.
  • A minimum of 8 years of professional experience, mainly related to product development.
  • Experience in automotive hardware and software development processes.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with ability to work in a high-pace highly complex cross-functional environment.
  • Proven record of leadership of product development and/or improvement.
  • Proven record of development and implementation of impactful products.

Preferred:

  • Experience in automotive product development and launch of vehicle accessories (OEM or Aftermarket)
  • Experience in hardware design and agile software development
  • Experience with feature requirements management systems (e.g. JAMA)
  • Experience with Atlassian software (JIRA, Confluence).
  • Experience in product design, UX/UI design, product marketing, and sales estimates/analysis.

Education:

  • BS or MS Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Industrial Design, or related fields.
Salary Range: The compensation range for this position is specific to the locations listed below and is the range Lucid reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors. 

California (Bay Area) - $135,300 - $186,010
Additional Compensation and Benefits: Lucid offers a wide range of competitive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance, vacation, and 401k. The successful candidate may also be eligible to participate in Lucid’s equity program and/or a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing such programs.  (Cash or equity incentive awards, if any, will depend on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and company performance.)
