About the job
We’re looking for a Senior Product Manager to lead Service Storefront initiatives on our Customer Experience Product team.

For context, Hopper is the most downloaded travel booking app in North America, with over 60M installs to date and $423M raised. We did well over $1B in sales last year and weathered COVID with triple-digit revenue growth thanks to our proprietary suite of data-driven fintech products.

Our team is focused on driving Hopper’s customer retention by building new service-driven products in the Hopper app that help us to retain, activate and improve the travel journey for Hopper users at scale. We will create a wide range of new ways to help customers plan and book travel or enable them to self help through features like VIP Support, Concierge and tools within the service center storefront in the Hopper app.

We believe that great customer experience is a meaningful value proposition that drives Hopper’s growth and we are building a technology-driven service platform that supports 60M+ customers. We aren’t starting from scratch, either. Over 70% of customer support requests can be solved directly in the app, and over 1M customers have purchased and rated Hopper’s VIP Support features with industry-leading CSAT. That said, we have the opportunity to bring together disparate features into a consolidated service storefront that drives customer loyalty and builds a retention loop that will gain traction over time.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the service product roadmap end-to-end to build new features that make Hopper’s service experience best-in-class, and allow Hopper to reduce time and effort to serve, from inception through implementation and performance. Collect requirements, establish KPIs, craft the user experience, drive execution and report on impact.
  • Work with business, engineering and operational leaders to shape and drive business cases, including return-on-investment analyses for new product initiatives
  • Ideate and wireframe new tools and feature that will influence experience for millions of users around the world
  • Identify meaningful qualities for each tool and feature: what’s important, what’s not, how can we limit risk and cost?
  • Pare down an ideal feature to the minimum viable product: identify what's essential for us to know if this is a good idea, what's not, and how we can limit cost and risk
  • Understand complex technical issues, discern impact, and be able to explain the situation to maximize clarity and drive resolution
  • Use excellent judgment to make trade-offs when scoping and specifying solutions, ensuring that everything we build adds value to customers and is extensible

Benefits

  • Well-funded and proven startup with large ambitions, competitive salary and stock options
  • Unlimited PTO
  • WeWork All Access Pass OR Work-from-home stipend
  • Entrepreneurial culture where pushing limits and taking risks is everyday business
  • Open communication with management and company leadership
  • Small, dynamic teams = massive impact
  • 100% employer-paid telemedicine, medical, dental, vision, disability and life insurance plans
  • Access to a Retirement Savings Plan
