At Spotify Advertising, our part of that mission is to build the next generation advertising platform for audio which can scale the freemium experience for hundreds of millions of fans and tens of thousands of advertisers. This scale brings unique challenges as well as tremendous opportunities to define the insights product for our business.
Help us create tools that allow podcast publishers to achieve the most from their work, and advertisers to connect with passionate audiences!
The Megaphone product team at Spotify is searching for an experienced Senior UX Writer to join our mission and take ownership of key initiatives, at a moment of inflection for our business!
This will be an exciting period where you will get to exercise your skills and have ample opportunity to expand and develop new ones. UX Writers play a central role at Spotify Advertising, often owning large and sophisticated design projects. They operate both at a tactical level, crafting sophisticated copy and other content solutions, and at a strategic level, partnering with cross-functional leads to craft direction on high-priority projects. As a member of the Megaphone team, you’ll also build and codify new content standards and documentation relating to the Megaphone product and our specific users.
Megaphone gives our customers the most inquisitive tools to publish, monetize, and measure their podcast business. Through Spotify’s billion-dollar ads business and our growing list of publishing partners, you will have the outstanding opportunity to help Megaphone amplify and scale what’s extraordinary about podcasts.
What You'll Do
- Focus on the Megaphone product experience — complex tools, communication touchpoints, help guides, design system — and develop content design strategy and solutions in that space.
- Guide product development by applying your craft, through foundational concept definition, product narratives, streamlined messaging and product copy.
- Have an equal voice with product designers in the product development process.
- Work in a variety of projects, from broad explorative prompts to tightly defined launch cycles.
- Develop content standards and guidelines, supporting the work of other UX Writers and content-adjacent folks across the Ads business.
- Think big, but start small — identify both new opportunities and also the first step to exploring them.
- Partner closely with product managers, engineers, data scientists and researchers to define next steps as well as long-term strategy.
- Work with our user research teams to scope and support ongoing research projects.
- Design content solutions focused on inclusivity and accessibility in order to reach users worldwide.
- Collaborate with other design teams across Spotify working at the intersection of brands and content
- Share you work regularly with your immediate peers, as well as participating in design reviews with design and company leadership
Who You Are
- Enjoy crafting content in complex and sometimes ambiguous spaces where there is no “paved path”
- Collaborating and thinking with other designers and writers comes naturally
- Working with a range of technical and policy partners is second nature
- Have experience writing for either business- or consumer-focused products at scale
- Understand and can articulate how your work intersects with or augments existing content guidelines
