Our XD monks in Australia are looking for a seriously Senior UX Designer to join their team to help one of the most iconic and biggest insurance companies in Australia shape their digital experiences, and to take their app to the next level.

About You
● You like the challenge of a fast-paced creative environment where no project runs the same way
● You’re comfortable telling important people from big brands what they need to succeed and inspire them with innovative ideas
● You play with content and branding as effectively as you do with functionality
● You have an eye for UI, but interactions, tasks and journeys are what you design
● You’re skilled at internalising new knowledge and adopting new skills rapidly when the work demands it
● You are keen to take on the most complex problems and make them simpler and solvable by working closely with your team and the client
● You have the working knowledge of design systems, design sprints and agile processes to know when and how they may benefit a project
The Role
As a Senior UX Designer, you are typically involved early in the Discovery Phase to drive HCD practices, define the approach and identify the key challenges among users. You socialise ideas and approaches with clients, who recognize your experience and value your input. You’re comfortable with both leading—and collaborating with—strategists, designers and developers of any level. They can rely on you to understand business, user, content and tech requirements so they can design with those most effectively. In turn you amplify their work by testing it with users and designing improvements where needed.
Requirements

● Proactive, agile, and collaborative in nature in order to effectively pull requirements from BAs / POs / SMEs so you can execute the product design vision efficiently
● Accessibility & Inclusive Design: You will have a solid understanding of these concepts and be able to lean into and drive inclusive design standards and practices
● Demonstrate an ability to facilitate customer testing sessions, synthesis and collaboration with other designers and stakeholders
● Being able to leverage customer conversations, data and other inputs to work through how best to deliver high quality solutions
● Aligning to our HCD approach: Draw upon your knowledge of following an HCD process to manage stakeholders and projects end-to-end
● Being able to understand the technical side of things and provide feasible solutions in collaboration with POs / BAs / Devs
● Experience in large enterprise environments is preferable
● Extensive experience with native applications
● Effective time management skills and ability to multitask
● Strong stakeholder engagement, communication and interpersonal skills. This is a must!
