This opportunity is a part of Blink's Embedded practice which supports long-term opportunities with some of Blink’s largest client partners.
We are looking for a Senior UX Designer with knowledge of user research methodologies to work on a key client account in the financial sector.
Hybrid work model. 2 days per week on-site in New York City
1+ year contract.
Duties
- Leads a project or initiative — helps define strategy, objectives and sets the vision for the user experience.
- Oversee multiple streams of work across all platforms and devices.
- Inspire and direct their team to help them build towards a meaningful vision efficiently.
- Responsible for optimizing the idea to build cycle with high quality and predictable output.
- Defines and evangelizes design language system throughout the organization.
- Provide leadership and mentorship for a team of Experience Designers through the interaction and visual design of products and services from end-to-end for a global audience.
- Partner with the Product Managers, Engineers, Data Scientist, Researchers and Content Strategists to define problems & goals, map user flows, prototype interactions, and launch new products and services.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in UX design.
- Bachelor's degree in design, human-computer interaction (HCI), or equivalent professional experience.
- Proficiency in current design and prototyping tools.
- Driven by user-centered and design thinking methodologies.
- Fluency in best practices for web-based information architecture and design.
- Clear and articulate written and verbal communication and strong interpersonal skills, and proven track record of presenting and influencing stakeholders and senior management.
- A strong portfolio that demonstrates your designs and tells the story of your approach and design process to solve complex problems driven by data.
- Strong organization, attention to detail, and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
