Senior Product Researcher- Seattle US or Remote

About the Role:

At Remitly, we want to build the right product and build the product right. We are looking for a full-stack product researcher to focus on new territory for our company – the intersection of our remittance and Passbook products. Given the surface area of this role, you will be both strategic and executional. You will report to the Director of Consumer Insights, joining a team of four multicultural researchers. You will both lead individual projects and collaborate with others, including fellow researchers, product designers, product managers, and engineers.

You Will:

• Lead foundational research and conceptual testing on the integration of two fintech products – remittances and Passbook (our international debit card)
• Collaborate closely with designers, product managers, and engineers throughout the whole product lifecycle
• Create outputs that allow for scale (e.g., behavioral personas, customer journey maps)
• Provide consultation on and direction to product designers for usability tests when needed
• Educate and inform others at Remitly about customer insights
• Contribute to team-wide research projects
• Travel to our customers as needed (5–10% travel time)

You Have:

• 5+ years experience conducting cross-cultural B2C research
• Expertise with primary data collection through mixed methods, including field research (workplaces, homes, public spaces)
• High proficiency collaborating with designers, product managers, and engineers
• Expertise prioritizing and recognizing what will add highest value
• Expertise communicating insights to non-researchers
• Native or professional proficiency in English and Spanish – including data collection and analysis entirely in Spanish
• Experience in international research, domain knowledge of the immigrant experience
