To do this, we are looking for a Senior Product and UX Researcher to lead the research program for the Partnerships Product area. The Partnerships team seeks to open the next growth frontier of Netflix by acquiring new audiences through partnering with global and local businesses, such as mobile operators and consumer electronics like Amazon, Google, Sony, and more. You’ll work on defining how we bundle Netflix with other products and offers, how we innovate on our smart TVs and game console integrations and many more consumer-facing opportunities.

You will partner with Product Management, Business Development, Design, Engineering and other cross-functional and research teams to understand user needs and develop, execute, and deliver best-in-class research to address them.  Research insights and user-centered strategy are highly valued at Netflix and you’ll play a critical role in directing the strategic development of product and business initiatives. You will also be part of a tight-knit team of stunning researchers with different areas of expertise and many opportunities to learn from.


We’re looking for:

Self-starter and stunning cross-functional partner

  • Extensive primary research experience designing and executing research studies globally (most projects are qualitative in nature, but working knowledge of quantitative methods can be helpful); and can also integrate data and insights from other sources to tell a holistic, actionable, and impactful story. This is a senior individual contributor role, and we’re looking for a minimum of 5 years of experience in the field.
  • Has experience driving an end-to-end research program collaborating across multiple stakeholders, scoping and prioritizing projects, and selecting which methodology best answers unique research questions. 
  • Able to anticipate research needs, identify consumer/industry trends and opportunities, identify research gaps and find a balance between cross-functional research requests and self-initiated research projects.
  • Able to balance several projects simultaneously at different stages (from idea to presentation), both tactical and strategic, in order to steadily deliver a portfolio of insights.
  • Previous experience working in the Partnerships, Growth, Commerce and/or Payments areas is preferred but not required. Previous experience working with global research vendors is a must.
  • Familiarity with A/B testing and how UX research can facilitate better, more impactful testing through partnership with designers.

Versatile leader with excellent communication skills

  • Effectively translating findings into strategic business recommendations and communicating these to the right cross-functional colleagues, in the right ways, and at the right time to inform their decision-making. Experience presenting/socializing insights at all levels of an organization all the way to the CEO is a plus. Your work will travel far and wide at Netflix!
  • The Product Partnerships area is complex and broad. Acquiring domain expertise, and being curious about the business and state of the industry is a must to be successful as a thought leader in the space. Willing to understand the product, business, and consumer product at Netflix, and develop in-depth expertise to effectively collaborate with a large number of stakeholders (including Product Management, Design, Data Science, Business Strategy, and Marketing) and adequately represent the voice of the consumer in strategic discussions is vital for this role.
