Submittable is looking for a Senior Product Marketing Manager to drive go-to-market efforts for our government industry segment and corporate partnerships. You will work to deeply understand these customers and translate the value of our product to their specific needs; craft compelling positioning and messaging; and collaborate cross-functionally to develop and execute go-to-market strategies.

It’s an exciting time to do this work at Submittable. Recently, we’ve helped government customers deliver grants and relief funds, and manage other application-based programs supporting applicants in crisis. Your product marketing skills will help these organizations increase their impact through programs that reach millions—making your work about more than just great messaging and marketing (though we take a lot of pride in those, too).

Currently, our employees are largely working from home with the option for anything from full-time in-office work to occasional co-working. Our team is productive and happy in a lot of different environments, and we are open to talking about the right mix for you.

The Senior Product Marketing Manager responsibilities include:

  • Co-develop and drive the strategy, planning and execution of go-to-market plans for our government segment and corporate partnerships
  • Use quantitative and qualitative measures to become the expert on the market, the product and the customer
  • Develop compelling and differentiated product positioning and messaging that considers the needs of the customer and communicates how the product brings value
  • Develop subject matter expertise on competitive landscape, ideal customer, buyer journey and industry trends
  • Create clear and persuasive content regardless of the audience, channel, or format—think pitch decks, webinars, internal overviews/trainings, video and more
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, marketing, partnerships, operations and sales teams

An ideal candidate will have these qualities and experience:

  • 5+ years of product marketing experience, ideally in B2B SaaS
  • Experience with government industry segment preferred
  • Proven success developing and owning the go-to-market strategy to launch and scale products and features
  • Able to develop simple, powerful messaging
  • Able to conduct and consume customer research and data, and translate those insights into actionable recommendations
  • Excellent written, presentation and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and simply

We are interested in every qualified candidate who is eligible to work in the United States, however, we are unable to accommodate scholastic or employment visas at this time.
