The Team You’ll Work With

You will be joining the Investor Services Product Marketing team. Our team is the driving force behind getting products to market - and keeping them there. The ultimate role of a PMM is to liaise between the our internal teams (Product, Sales, Business, Development, etc) and the end-user. PMMs should be an expert on the user and their needs. 

Our team is focused on three things: 

  • Improving product roadmaps by serving as the voice of the customer
  • Driving adoption and utilization of new & existing features 
  • Aligning and enabling internal teams to tell the right story about Carta’s Investor products 

You will learn about the startup ecosystem from the inside and work with the GPs funding the next generation of innovators

The Problems You’ll Solve

At Carta, we’re rethinking how venture capital and fund management works. You’ll be part of the team shaping the vision for the next generation of startup investors. In this role, you will: 

  • Collaborate with our Marketing, Product, Sales, and Strategy teams to define our roadmap for established fund managers
  • Identify target customers, their needs, and how products will meet those needs through surveys, interviews, and product usage
  • Develop product positioning, value propositions, and messaging to be used in product development and marketing campaigns for Investor Services products
  • Understand customers' pain points and needs through qualitative and quantitative research, and develop solutions to meet those needs. Ensure that the voice of the customer is always represented in every customer product and marketing experience

About You

In order to be successful in the role, you will need to:

  • Have a genuine interest and understanding of the venture capital and startup ecosystems
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced and often ambiguous environments
  • Understand the strategic important of our target audiences and how they make We buying decisions
  • Diagnose problems, isolate them into their component parts, and drive towards creative solutions 
  • Be intimately familiar with business goals and objectives
