About The Role
The Marketing Team at Humane defines, develops, and executes at the highest level to bring the Humane brand and product to market. We work cross-functionally with Design, Hardware, Software and Services engineering functions, Communications, and Recruiting. We collaborate closely with external partners - service partners, creative agencies, freelance individuals, web developers, media agencies, and many more - to produce work of unmatched quality and lasting value for our future customers, partners, and potential hires. We are looking for a Senior Product Marketing Manager to join the team and report to the Head of Marketing & Strategy. In this role, you will have the opportunity to define, develop and sustain the marketing and positioning for current and future generations of our Hardware Device ecosystem. What You Might Do
- Collaborate closely with design and product design engineering, to identify, evaluate and implement new technologies
- Be the market expert, providing insights to cross-functional teams on competition and industry trends
- Translate these insights into concise, actionable requirements for current and future hardware products
- Be the voice of the customer by aggregating feedback from Sales, Support, Partnerships, Reliability Engineering, and QA
- Work with cross-functional partners across the company to incorporate customer feedback into future product requirements
- Be the expert on the hardware product, what it is, how it works, why it’s useful and translate this knowledge into approachable and inspiring key messaging for a consumer audience, amplified across owned, earned and paid media channels
Essential Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in a product management or product marketing role, with at least 5 years working on consumer hardware product(s)
- An unmatched ability to communicate complex concepts in a concise manner - verbally, visually and in written communication
- A proven track record of working cross-functionally with engineering, design, and other key technical functions (upstream of product development)
- A proven track record of working cross-functionally with marketing and communications teams, developing key messaging and positioning, informing campaigns, and acting as a spokesperson for the company (downstream of product development)
