Cash App has become the fastest growing finance brand on the planet and is redefining the world’s relationship with money by making it more relatable, instantly available, and universally accessible for everyone.

We initially launched Cash App to offer instant, simple & free peer-to-peer payments. But over the past few years, we’ve meaningfully expanded the set of financial services provided to customers. Cash App now offers not only P2P, but also a free debit card, instant spending rewards (Boosts), a free bank account, fractional stock investing, and the easiest platform in the world to buy, sell, and move Bitcoin.

Overall, we’re working hard to bring about a better way to send, spend, save & invest for everyone.

Our message and our product resonates deeply with customers. In June 2020 alone we saw more than 30M unique monthly transacting users. We’re consistently a top 10 app overal, have held the number one finance spot in the US App Store for the past three years and are a top 10 finance app in the UK. We see more engagement on social media in a given day than most brands see in a year. Moreover, we’re building an ecosystem that redefines the world’s relationship with money and offers hope beyond the traditional, broken financial system.

Cash App seeks to hire the best talent regardless of location. Our employment model is distributed, offering the opportunity to collaborate with teams across the world with major hubs in San Francisco, New York, St. Louis, Portland, Toronto, Kitchener-Waterloo, Sydney, and Melbourne.

Cash App has rapidly evolved to serve both consumers and businesses in invaluable ways through products such as Cash for Businesses and Boosts. Building on this momentum, our mission for commerce is to connect consumers and businesses to help them both thrive.

As our very first Product Marketing Manager for Commerce, you will be leading the GTM strategy to drive awareness and growth for key products such as Cash App Pay. Based on market insights, you’ll identify our strategic audiences and develop the positioning, messaging, and channel strategy to drive key business outcomes. To be successful, you’ll forge strong partnerships across the Cash App and Square teams, including Product, Creative, Design, Brand, Data Science, and Business Development teams.

You will also join as one of the founding members of a rapidly growing product marketing team. We’re looking for seasoned, team-oriented product marketing leaders to help us scale the discipline and play a pivotal role in shaping our culture and strategy. This role reports to the Head of Product Marketing.

You will:

  • Develop and drive the GTM strategy for key commerce products, including goal setting, customer insights, market analysis, positioning and messaging, and channel strategy.
  • Lead campaign development and coordination, driving targeted strategies and messaging across audiences, channels, and cross-functional teams.

  • Launch insights-driven marketing programs that drive customer behavior and reach business objectives, in close partnership with the broader Cash App team.

  • Champion Cash App’s marketing experimentation culture by testing measurable and scalable programs that you’ll optimize and launch based on learnings.

  • Influence Cash App’s commerce products by synthesizing and championing key market insights and representing the product marketing perspective in the development cycle.

You have:

  • 7+ years of experience in product marketing and growth marketing at one or more fast-growing consumer tech companies (fintech a strong plus).

  • A strong track record of spearheading product launches and marketing campaigns that drove significant business growth.

  • Highly collaborative leadership skills and a proven ability to influence and lead cross-functional teams to meet common goals and objectives.

  • Strong business acumen and extensive experience with core analytical concepts like LTV and incrementality, along with the ability to effectively synthesize market insights.

  • A scrappy and resourceful way of operating. You are able to unblock yourself to achieve your goals and are always thinking creatively about your approach to problems.

  • An ability to excel at both the strategic and operational levels, and to consistently meet or exceed planned objectives.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. This role demands a strong ability to use the spoken and written word to communicate effectively with all stakeholders.

  • Comfort in operating in a highly entrepreneurial, fast-paced, and startup environment.
