Job Description

Block seeks a Senior Business Product Marketing Manager to drive adoption and growth of advertising solutions for merchants across Afterpay and Cash App. The successful candidate must have experience closely partnering with product and sales leaders in a fast-paced digital marketing company.

They demonstrated ability to lead strategic planning and tactical execution in support of channel marketing efforts is also required.  This thought leader will represent the full product roadmap and suite of product and solution offerings to external merchants and partners. 

Success in this position requires a strong understanding of the advertising and retail commerce market and Block’s advertising and e-commerce products. It also requires a focus on ability to successfully manage a large, distributed team in a cross-functional, dynamic environment. 

Reporting to the Lead Global Partner Marketing Manager, the ideal candidate for this role will evaluate and recommend implementation plans, then execute them with close attention to detail.

Responsible for:

  • Define and execute go-to-market. Lead charter on defining product positioning, value proposition, naming, outbound marketing for advertiser facing solutions across global client segments.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to set goals and develop regional growth strategy for key product adoption
  • Test and launch new products in-market by leading cross-functional teams including sales, legal, marketing, and PR
  • Lead market understanding, opportunity assessment, competitive analysis, customer feedback and represent the market with Product Management and R&D
  • Package and maintain integrated marketing tools across web, collateral, presentations and websites, with an eye towards corporate branding in tone, look and feel

Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent 8+ years professional experience in technology or advertising, experience with performance advertising across display, ad networks and/or search highly regarded
  • 3-5+ years of experience in product marketing, product strategy or product management with advertising technology products
  • Experience partnering with product and sales management to represent market requirements
  • Experience taking internet products through full lifecycle and developing go-to-market strategies
  • Demonstrated ability to drive resolution in the context of competing perspectives
  • Organization and people skills and the ability to set priorities, problem-solve, multi-task and work independently in a dynamic, rapidly changing workplace
  • Extensive knowledge of digital advertising and e-commerce industry
  • Initiator that can manage a cross-functional team in an evolving environment
  • A data-informed decision maker
